I can say, without a doubt, Shadow Hills is going to be one of my top picks of 2010, as it has already been added to my short list of favorite books of all time.

The interlocking of the well-developed romance with the dark enigmatic mystery is hauntingly beautiful and utterly perfect. Shadow Hills is the ultimate paranormal romance. A+

Watch out for formidable scenes and unexpected twist and turns. Anastasia Hopcus did an excellent job on weaving her story and characters.

Shadow Hills was a fast paced and captivating novel that went as far as to show that Anastasia Hopcus is a fantastic new star in the YA world!

By the time I finished, I was 100% hooked and I am now foaming at the mouth in anticipation of the sequel. This is going to be one fantastic series!

Phe is a strong female character, refreshingly determined and highly spirited, and Zach had just the right amount of mysticism to make him very appealing.

The characters were all interesting, and the ties to history, both ancient and more recent, was intriguing to read about. A fantastic debut from Hopcus- preorder this one!

After this book, I need more and I hope Hopcus has a few more books in store for us.

I actually got chills, which hasn't happened to me while reading in quite awhile. I really think this is a great step in the right direction with paranormal romance.

I read it in one day. I loved it. This book was able to put you into a modern yet out of touch world that will send very creepy vibes your way.

Anastasia Hopcus really outdid herself with her debut novel and has set the bar high for future books. Shadow Hills is must have addition to your summer reading list.

The author weaved a fantastic plot while the readers hangs on to every clue. Definitely pick this one up. You won't be disappointed.

The plotting and flow was terrific, each scene built suspense and led to more tension and unanswered questions.

This unique paranormal plot is free of the usual vampires and werewolves. It immediately grabbed me and sucked me right in to the suspenseful storyline.

You'll find yourself pulled into a whirlwind of mesmerizing characters, magic and chemistry that can't be denied. Phe is strong and sassy and Zach is the perfect Yin to her Yang.

I thought the writing for Shadow Hills was supreme. The plot and suspense builds at an even pace and when the explosive end hits us, it doesn’t feel rushed or too slow.

Shadow Hills has a wonderful cast of characters. Each character, no matter how much page time they have, feels very rounded...Even Phe’s adversaries, Corinne and Trent were wonderfully written.

With a mix of mythology, science and a touch magic Shadow Hills is engaging and unpredictable, and the mystery... is compelling enough to keep you reading long into the night.
